You may have read in August that one million bank accounts accounts were compromised. As they had to file an official report, that number is now seventy six million households plus seven million businesses. That’s astounding as there are only about one hundred and ten million households in the U.S., and seven million businesses is a lot.

What this means is that three out of four households have had their information compromised through the JP Morgan Chase system. In other words, it’s almost certain that you have been hacked.

My questions is now did the number grow from one million to eighty times that? Was it because Chase used the same technique that our government uses to disseminate bad news… start with a small number, get the minimal blow-back out of the way and then the “revision” is barely reported as it’s “old news.” Or was it because they had to provide real numbers in their official document filing?

You decide.
